Leadership is an affect. ~Mike Lehr
Program management is a form of project management. It coordinates projects where sensitivity to internal cultures and politics is important. This can involve finding and managing internal talent, external talent or both. It usually takes the form of short-term contract employment.
Any project usually brings change. Internal cultures, politics, relationships and politics can thwart that change. It is not only about having the right plans and processes in place but also the right talent to navigate internal cultures and politics.
Program management can work as a separate position or as an existing one. Managerial, team leader or project-focused positions in these areas work best for our expertise when temporarily filling existing positions:
- Human resources
- Information technology
- Sales and marketing
- Customer service
